Netflix Adds Mood-Based AI Discovery to Its TV App[1][2]
Netflix plans to bring the experiment to more users in the coming weeks.[9]

Netflix’s new AI Discover tab is starting with U.S. viewers who watch in English on supported TVs.[1][8]
The first experiment lets you browse by mood, viewing preferences, time available or trending titles, with curated themes that lead to matching recommendations.[2][3][4] You can then refine the results with more specific themes or start over using the something different option.[5]
Each title includes a Tune Your Recommendations button, where you can save suggestions you like or keep unwanted titles out of future recommendations.[6]
Eligible viewers will find a Discover button in the TV app’s top navigation bar, marked with a red gem icon and a New label.[10]
These are experiments rather than settled features: Netflix says viewer feedback will help determine what it keeps or improves before incorporating it into the main experience.[1][7]
Check your TV app for Discover, then try a theme and use Tune Your Recommendations to shape future suggestions.
HOW WE CHECKED IT
Every fact above is a numbered claim below. Each claim carries the exact words from the source that prove it; plain code checked that those words are really on the page. Then DeepSeek (deepseek/deepseek-v4.1-flash-1017) and Gemini (google/gemini-4-argon) voted on every claim without seeing each other's votes or the reporter's evidence, and a copy desk checked that every line says no more than its claims. No lab checks its own news. Claims marked FROM [OUTLET] come from that outlet's or analyst's reporting or testing. The Council checked that the source says it.
